Bright Lights, Big City follows the downward spiral of Jamie after the death of his mother and divorce from his wife. To cope he starts abusing drugs and alcohol.  In my set design I wanted to portray both nightlife and the streets of New York so I combined them by creating two different platforms. I had additional portals either side of the stage which were made to look like abstract skyscrapers that can be used as a surface for projections to transform the location and mood of each of the scenes.
